There are times when a customer of a service wishes one or more services transferred
to a new or existing customer record. The occasions where this may be required include:
- The user of the service is moving from one company to another and wishes the service to be transferred to the new company
- The user of the service may wish to consolidate services into one account e.g. separate family members consolidating all accounts onto one bill under one primary name
The service transfer function offers the following:
- Transfer From
– this is used to search for and list all contacts associated with the service
- Transfer Services From
– this displays a list of all services available for transfer assigned to the customer
- Transfer To
– search for the customer who is to take over the transferred service
- Transfer Services To
– lists all services already assigned to the customer who is to take over the transferred services
- Go
– a highlighted service in the Transfer Services From list is moved into the Transfer Services To list. This step is repeated for all services to be transferred
- Leave Bill Day
– the Transfer To customer's bill day will be used for the new service
- Move Bill Day
– the Transfer From customer's bill day will be used
- Confirm Transfer Services
– once pressed this will commit the changes to the CentreBill database
At the next bill run, the billing engine will calculate any pro-rata rebate or pro-rata charge for both the From and To customers for the transferred service.
